Scotland

As the capital of Scotland, Edinburgh is a strategic location for LEAD teams to help pioneer the ministry.

Edinburgh became a center of reformation in the sixteenth century. In the succeeding centuries, Christian scholars and churches contributed significantly to spreading the gospel message in different parts of the world, particularly in places where Presbyterian churches were set up. The city is home to 500,000 residents, including 55,000 students from around the world. Over two million visitors visit Edinburgh yearly to enjoy the rich history and vibrant arts scene. The centerpieces of Edinburgh’s festival season are the world-famous Edinburgh International Festival and “The Fringe” Festival. With easy access to surrounding cities, Edinburgh is ideal for exploring Scotland and the rest of the UK.

Scattered across Edinburgh are five universities that LEAD teams could impact, including the University of Edinburgh, one of the top 10 universities in Europe. Campus Outreach Edinburgh is partnering with St. Columba’s Free Church of Scotland to help support and strengthen gospel work in Scotland, the UK, and beyond.
